JoEl is the Founder and CEO of TMM. He is the inventor of the nanotube-aerogel matrix (US patent #8,703,284), which is the cornerstone of all TMM technology and composites. Since 1999, he has received numerous awards from many organizations, including Scientific American Magazine, the US Navy, US Army, US Air Force, Virginia Manufacturing and Technology Center, the National Society of Black Engineers, American Chemical Society, and Intel.
Prior to TMM, JoEl held positions in both sales and administration with several Fortune 500 companies. He studied Industrial Engineering at FAMU-FSU Joint College of Engineering. He was also researcher with Florida Advanced Center for Composite Technology, working with DARPA, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. He is a member of the American Carbon Society, Materials Research Society, the Society for the Advancement of Manufacturing and Process Engineering (SAMPE), Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization, and is an emeritus member of the American Chemical Society.
